Exciting Day!

Megyn decided months ago that she wanted to donate her hair to locks of love. http://www.locksoflove.org/ We just had to wait for her to meet the minimum length which took only 2 months longer than projected. She is really excited about someone getting to use her hair and what a special gift that is. She is really an inspiration. She was cracking up when I showed her the ponytail, I think part of that was shock LOL.

James has had a wiggly lose tooth for weeks and it was just barely hanging in there. After some coaching, bribes and more bribes he finally pulled it out. I was sure he was going to swallow it in his sleep, that is how lose it was! As you might be able to see the other tooth had already come in! Thanks Sheri for getting him to pull that out! Oh pardon the sleepy expression, it's a combination of a slow camera and James being caught mid-blink.

Oh and I had a GREAT Mother's Day! Started out with breakfast in bed, gifts from Joe and the kids and the dinner that I didn't have to make! Joe, your lasagna rocks and I love you! Seeing my kids making the choices they make and being proud for 'pulling a tooth all on my own' makes me realize how lucky I am and how special they are. I don't always get it right, but moments like the ones I experienced today lets me know that I'm doing better than I thought. To the mothers in my life I just have to say I LOVE YOU and I thank you. It's funny how perfect a parent I was when I didn't have kids...I have been humbled and have learned a lot. I couldn't have imagined how challenging being a mom could be, but I also couldn't imagine going through life without the rewards of motherhood either. I love my role as mother and wife (even on the bad days after I've had a chance to catch up) and I appreciate those who walk that path with me.

That is awesome!! Tell Megyn I'm so proud of her, that is such a wonderful thing to do! Looks like Mark had fun @ his birthday party! Look forward to hanging out this week, if you change your mind and want me to keep Abby let me know, we'd love to have her!
