Finally, she eats!

Of all of my children, Abigail has been the least interested in solids. The past 3 weeks or so though she would eat bananas, but that was it as far as real food. I figured she'd have to eat something eventually so I wasn't really pushing the issue. I did however, follow her lead and let her have nibbles here and there. I was making baby food from scratch and we'd tried several things but aside from the banana, nothing was a big hit until today. I gave her one of those teether biscuits and as you can see, she really enjoyed it. I don't know if it tasted good or if it was just fun to make a mess with. At any rate she HAD to have actually eaten some, right?

More on Abby, she is pulling up on anything tall enough for her to reach, this includes the cat...who, while tolerant in the past, is not a fan of this behavior. Abby still doesn't crawl, instead she does a sort of modified army crawl. She also can sit up from a crawling position. She has developed a hilarious new way of getting around. She gets up to a sitting position, puts both hands out in front of herself on the floor and then drags her bum forward, repeat. It is the funniest thing in the world to watch and if I can capture it I will definitely post a video of it. She isn't saying much, she just likes to make noise but I swear she has said na-na for banana once or twice and has said bye bye. She pops her lips and sticks her tongue out at me all of the time. I can hardly believe she will be one in just a few months!

Wow, she is getting so big..time flies too quickly. I remember seeing you in church the first time with such a small babe in your arms. Not so small anymore.
